Michelle’s journey to Rotherham Hospital is a testament to her commitment to serving the community. “I’ve always been drawn to roles where I can make a difference in people’s lives,” says Michelle. “From my time in the military police to work in social care, I’ve seen first-hand the challenges that service members and veterans face, I’m excited to be part of the Trust and to provide support to those who have served our country.”
As the DMWS Armed Forces Welfare Officer, Michelle will be instrumental in ensuring that service members, and veterans receive the assistance they need. “My goal is to be a source of support and guidance for our service members, reservists and veterans,” Michelle explains. “I want them to access the best standard of healthcare possible and I’ll be here to help every step of the way.”
Michelle’s appointment is a significant step forward in the Trust’s commitment to providing comprehensive care to all members of the armed forces community.
“We are thrilled to welcome Michelle to our team,” says Sally Kilgariff, Chief Operating Officer at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. “Her dedication to serving others and her unique blend of skills make her the perfect fit for this role. We look forward to the positive impact she will have on the lives of our service members, and veterans.”
Sally emphasises the Trust’s commitment to supporting the armed forces community: “At The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust we believe in honouring the sacrifices of our service members and veterans by providing them with the highest level of care and support. Michelle’s appointment reaffirms our commitment that she will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those she serves.”
Michelle’s appointment is effective immediately, and she is eager to begin her work supporting the armed forces community at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.
