Tobacco Treatment Team

Stopping smoking is one of the best things you will ever do for your health. Quitting is much easier when you get the right support.

How we can support you

We recognise that smoking is an addiction rather than a lifestyle choice. Tobacco addiction is a preventable illness and we have very effective treatments for it.

Working with Yorkshire Cancer Research, we aim to make sure that treatment for tobacco addiction is built into the routine care offered to every patient that smokes.

Patients admitted to hospital will be offered free nicotine replacement therapies and specialist support from our Tobacco Treatment Advisors. This support can be continued through to community-based stop smoking services once a patient has left hospital.

We can give support to any patients under the care of the Trust. By helping people to stop smoking we are improving the health of our communities, helping people to live longer and healthier lives.

If you would like support or further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
