Public Transport

You can use the Travel South Yorkshire Journey Planner to plan your route on public transport from your home to The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust's sites.

Simply type the postcode (see below) into the destination box, along with your postcode and the time and date you'd like to travel, then select the 'Find Journey' button to get your timetable.

Reimbursement of travel expenses

The Trust is responsible for verifying the patient’s eligibility to receive payment, calculating the amount payable and making the payment. Eligibility for payment of NHS travel expenses is dependent upon three conditions being met. The patient must be:

•In receipt of one of the qualifying benefits or allowances or in certain circumstances be a member of the same family as a person receiving a qualifying benefit or allowance; or
•Be named on a NHS Low Income Scheme certificate HC2 or HC3, or in certain circumstances be a member of the same family as a person named on a NHS Low Income Scheme certificate.
