Donating to the Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity in memory of someone you love is a very special way to celebrate their life, to give something back to the NHS who cared for them and change the future for other patients and families from Rotherham and beyond. 

We’re so grateful you are thinking about honouring someone who meant a lot to you by supporting our Purple Butterfly In Memory Giving.

There are various ways you can do this: 

Funeral collections

The difference your loved one made in the world can become even greater if you take a collection for the charity at their funeral or memorial service. We’ll use the donations to enhance the care we provide at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust for our patients. 

Fundraise for them

We have a host of amazing challenges which you could take part in to commemorate a loved one, or you could organise your own event. You could run a marathon, arrange a memory walk, bake sale, a raffle or host a music event – whatever would honour the memory of your loved one the most. We will support your fundraising every step of the way.

Sponsor a leaf on our memory tree

Sponsoring an engraved leaf on our memory tree is a meaningful way to remember and celebrate the life of a loved one, while also donating to your local NHS charity. Our tree is located in the Snowdrop memorial garden at Rotherham Hospital and can be adorned with 250 beautiful gold leaves, creating a poignant work of art. Give in their memory

You can remember someone special by donating to the charity in their name. We’d love to hear their story and what giving in their memory means to you and your family.  Donations can be made in person at the new Charity Hub in main entrance at Rotherham Hospital – we’re based opposite Boots. Alternatively, donations can be made via Just Giving, cheque or bank transfer.
