Orthopaedic elective ward

Rockingham Ward at Rotherham Hospital is used only for patients having elective (planned) orthopaedic surgery for joint replacement.

The average length of stay on Rockingham Ward is between three and five days, and the team try to get patients home as quickly and safely as possible.

Patients having a total hip replacement or a total knee replacement will benefit from attending our Hip and Knee School before their operation. If you have an operation date but have not yet had an invitation to the Hip and Knee School please telephone the ward to be added to the next available slot.

There is a dedicated team of Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) that not only deliver excellent patient care, but also go the extra mile to make each patient's stay in hospital a nice experience.

Rockingham Ward is located on C Level, in the Moorgate Wing (Rotherham Hospital). There is a pick up parking space directly outside which is useful when patients are leaving hospital.
