Our Maternity Teams

The Maternity and Gynaecology department is made up of a number of professionals.

  • More than 120 Midwives based in the hospital and community services, including specialists in diabetes, screening, infant feeding, smoking in pregnancy, bereavement and our own Digital Midwife
  • We also have specialist Vulnerability Midwives who provide care in the community for women and families who need additional support
  • A team of Healthcare Assistants and Maternity Support Workers 
  • Specialist counselling and bereavement services
  • Breastfeeding peer support on our wards
  • Newborn hearing screening service
  • Nursery Nurses
  • Our own housekeepers on our wards
