Tiny Toes appeal

Over a 12 month period from August 2023, the Rotherham community has come together to support our heart-warming Tiny Toes Neonatal Appeal. The appeal aimed to raise £150,000 to help transform the Neonatal Unit at Rotherham Hospital to support the tiniest and most vulnerable patients and their families.

Sadie's story

Sadie Howe, from Rotherham sadly lost her grandparents, who both suffered with dementia back in 2021 and 2022. Sadie tells her story.

“My Nannan, Barbara was first diagnosed with Vascular Dementia following a mini stroke in 2012. We noticed a change soon after the stroke, she became easily confused and forgetful. Then in 2018, my Grandad, Roy, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s after a rapid change in his behaviour.

The Council of Governors is made up of patients, public, staff and partner representatives.

Governors are elected by their fellow Members to sit on the Council of Governors.

Feeding your baby

Our specialist midwives are here to help and support you to make the right feeding choice for you and your family. 

After your baby is born

After you have had your baby, you enter into the postnatal period for your care from maternity services.

If you have any concerns during this time, you can contact maternity triage for advice.

Labour and birth

During your labour and birth, we will support you on either the Labour Ward (located on B level, between junctions 3 and 4) or at home.

It ensures they are offered information in a way they can use and understand, and any communication support they need is identified as early as possible so that their requirements can be met in a way that meets their needs.
