What is an NHS Foundation Trust?
This page contains information about what NHS Foundation Trusts are.
Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are bacteria, viruses and parasites that can pass from one person to another through unprotected sexual contact or sharing of sex toys.
Most people that have an STI have no symptoms at all, which is why it is so important to regularly get tested after unprotected sex. Testing regularly is always encouraged.
HIV, PrEP, PEP, and vaccines
At Rotherham, we have a team of highly experienced and accomplished HIV specialist clinicians, who are passionate and dedicated to managing the care of people living with HIV.
HIV, like most STIs, has no symptoms in its early stages. This is why it is important to get tested regularly and to practice safe sex.
